MiBlackBox will show and direct you to emergency services close to where you are: hospitals, police stations, fire stations and ambulance services and you can load your own armed response company and insurance company contact details as well.
Location (app only)
Friends or family members using MiBlackBox can track you and you can track them. Location history available for 48 hours. You can have the peace of mind of always knowing where your loved ones are, and that they are there for you.
Video capture
Create a video recording that will automatically be uploaded to a secure server and sent to your listed contacts along with your location (app only).
Panic
Picture capture
Capture a picture in the app and it will automatically be sent to your emergency contacts and uploaded to a secure server. This is useful if you need a visual record of an incident or person to be used later as evidence.
Encryption
All your pictures, videos and voice recordings will be saved and stored for up to 6 months. They will also be fully encrypted so that no unauthorised person can access them.

How much battery does the app use?
The app has no material impact on battery when installed. It only uses power when active, similar to other apps. Location services may increase battery usage depending on usage frequency and other active apps.
How much data does the app use?
Data usage depends on how often the app is used. Average usage is around 50MB per month, but this varies depending on video, images, voice recordings, and location tracking.
How many emergency contacts can I add?
The app allows multiple emergency contacts with no fixed limit. USSD service supports only one contact.
Can I cancel a voice recording sent in error?
No. Once sent, recordings cannot be cancelled. You can stop recording while still in progress and notify your emergency contacts immediately.
How does tracking work?
The app provides real-time tracking and up to 48 hours of location history. Emergency contacts can view your live location when the feature is active and permissions are enabled.
What is required for tracking to work?
• Location services must be ON
• Background refresh enabled
• Battery saver OFF
• Data or Wi-Fi enabled
• Phone must be on and connected to a network
Why does tracking sometimes stop?
Tracking may pause when you are stationary for long periods or due to network, battery saver, or conflicting apps. It resumes when movement is detected again.
How long is location history stored?
Location history is stored for up to 48 hours. Only a limited number of location points are displayed in-app.
Does the app work without data or Wi-Fi?
Voice calls may still work via GSM if airtime is available. However, video, images, and location sharing require data or Wi-Fi.
How do I unsubscribe?
You can cancel via App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Alternatively, contact support at info@miblackbox.africa for assistance.
